Professional Background: Michele joined Family Health Care in February 2009. She previously worked for a family practice office in Ionia, Michigan, and as a physical therapist aide in Big Rapids.
Education: Michele earned a Master’s of Science in Medicine through Western Michigan University’s Physician’s Assistant program, and is a certified Physician’s Assistant. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Applied Biology from Ferris State University.
Practice: The “family” in family practice has a special meaning for Michele, who compares it to knowing friends and neighbors in a small town she grew up on a dairy farm at Sand Lake. “It’s important to me to get to know people, because that’s when I can do my best for them,” she says.
Personal: Michele and her husband Sam recently bought their first house, which is within 10 miles of where she grew up. She likes to stay active by running, bicycling, cross country skiing and playing softball. She was a pole vaulter in high school and college.
