Friendly Visitors is a service that recalls the days when your neighbor would stop in from time to time just to check in on you. If times were hard, or you were feeling poorly, you could count on your neighbor to help out.
Friendly Visitors is for Lake County seniors 60 years or older who live alone and need a little help to stay independent. We have trained volunteers who can call you on the telephone, or come to your home:
• After a hospital stay
• To go with you to your doctor’s appointment
• To help with meals and household chores
• To help you find other services
• Or to just sit and talk
That’s what we mean by being neighborly.
