Kortnie is a member of various professional organizations, including the American and Michigan academies of physician assistants, Christian Medical and Dental Association, and the Fellowship of Christian Physician Assistants. |

Education: |
Kortnie earned her bachelor's degree in biology/pre-medicine at Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois, and her master's degree in medicine through Western Michigan University's Physician Assistant program. She is certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She also has earned basic and advanced cardiac life support certifications.

Personal: |
Born and raised in Grand Haven, Kortnie is married to Kelly, a landscape architect. She is active in her church, and likes to read recent fiction and Christian living books and "the Harry Potter series. I'm hooked!" She enjoys downhill and water skiing, the outdoors, and camping "in a tent. That's the only way to camp."
