Experience: Nine years ago Dr. Matt began working as a dentist in Grand Rapids. He joined Family Health Care's dental department in July 2004. He works in our dental centers in White Cloud and Baldwin.

Dental Education: A graduate of the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry. Completed post-graduate training at the University of Michigan. Earned a science degree at Adrian College in the pre-dental curriculum.

Practice Perspective:   Dr. Matt believes that educating patients is equally as important as good treatment. "I pride myself on educating patients so that treatment decisions are based on knowledge. Oral health and wellness, as well as preventive oral health maintenance, are vital to a patient's overall well being.

Personal: He spends his free time roaming trout streams throughout Michigan.  Camping and weekend getaways tie together nicely with his passion for fly fishing. He enjoys most sports, especially snowboarding, and once was an avid sand volleyball player. A recent cooking class with his wife of five years, Andrea, led to that pastime, and he finds flower gardening a great way to relax. Yet nothing quite competes with the flies. "I've got to admit that I'm a fly fishing nut."
