Dr. Schroeder joined Family Health Care in 2008, following 14 years in private practice in Shelby, Michigan. She also worked as an emergency physician in Ludington for eight years.
Education:
- Medical Degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago
- Residency at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, IL
Practice:
The sense of close-knit families that often are found in rural areas makes the practice of medicine in small towns especially appealing to Dr. Schroeder. “I like all of the aspects of what I would call true ‘family practice’ medicine, it’s much more personal. I just like to get to know my patients and literally watch them grow up and change just like a family.”
Personal:
Dr. Schroeder and her husband James have six children. She enjoys reading non-fiction, swimming, travel, and learning to speak Spanish.
