Let us help you prepare your child for kindergarten.

As the new school year approaches, we would like to invite you to join us for a Kindergarten Readiness event in honor of National Health Center Week on August 10. Medical, dental, and vision staff will be providing health care screenings and services for kids ages six and under.

Medical staff will be scheduling wellness visits with a Family Health Care provider, taking Child and Adolescent Health Center enrollment forms, and assisting with Medicaid enrollment.

Michigan law requires children to have a dental screening or oral exam before they begin kindergarten. Dental staff will be providing oral exams and teeth cleanings. Walk-in patients will be accepted; however, preference will be given to those with an appointment. To schedule your child’s appointment, call the Dental Department at (231) 689-7149.

The Baldwin and White Cloud clinics will be offering walk-in vision screenings at no charge. Our optometrists will check your child’s eye alignment, visual acuity, and screen for vision problems that may hinder your child’s learning. Staff will be available to schedule appointments for comprehensive exams if needed.

Kids games, activities and giveaways will be going on in the lobbies at all clinics during this time.

Insurance will be billed for dental exam and cleanings. If you do not have insurance or cost is a concern, sliding fee options are available.
