Dysard receives healthcare leadership award
Family Health Care’s chief pharmacist has been recognized with the Healthcare Leadership Award from the Michigan Primary Care Association (MPCA). Lisa Dysard was recently presented with the award, which recognizes a community health center employee who provides exceptional leadership.
Dysard has worked at Family Health Care for 14 years and has served as chief pharmacist since 2018. She oversees five pharmacies at clinics in Lake, Mecosta, Newaygo, and Wexford counties.
During her tenure, Dysard has expanded clinical pharmacy, created an accredited pharmacy residency program, added telehealth services to improve substance use disorder treatment outcomes, added pharmacy delivery services, and enhanced safety and operational efficiencies.
“Lisa keeps Family Health Care’s mission at the forefront of everything that she does,” said Julie Tatko, Family Health Care’s chief executive officer. “She seeks opportunities to expand access to affordable medications through the 340B prescription drug program, our sliding fee scale, and other discount programs.”
Dysard’s leadership extends beyond Family Health Care’s clinics. She is co-chair of the MPCA Pharmacy Network and frequently meets with lawmakers to advocate for access to affordable prescriptions for everyone.
