Experience:
Lisa began her career in the medical field as an emergency room nurse for the first five years. After realizing she wanted to see the care she provided was making a difference, Lisa started working on her master’s degree. As of January 2019, Lisa will have five years of experience as a family nurse practitioner. She has worked in two community health care clinics and one privately owned clinic.
Education:
- Bachelor of Nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas
- Masters of Nursing from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Texas
Personal:
Lisa enjoys doing things with her family. She enjoys bow hunting and competing in archery competitions with her husband. They also enjoy vacationing and are excited to experience many new adventures in Michigan with their son and daughter. Lisa enjoys football, especially college football (her favorite team is the Aggies, but I will soon become a Wolverine fan as well). She loves cooking, and her specialties are crawfish etouffee, jambalaya, and Coca-Cola cake. To relax, Lisa also enjoys watching her favorite TV shows which include The Big Bang Theory, Law & Order SVU, The Last Ship, Seal Team, and The Voice.
