Family Health Care has added two new medical providers to its clinic in Cadillac.
CADILLAC, Michigan – Kristina Hug, DNP, NP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience. She earned a doctorate in nursing from Gonzaga University, a bachelor’s degree in exercise and health science from Alma College, and an associate degree in nursing from Mid Michigan Community College.
“My goal as a health care provider is to guide patients toward better health outcomes through comprehensive patient-centered care,” said Hug. “I believe in building meaningful relationships that empower patients to take control of their health and wellbeing.”
Jeremy Garrett, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. He recently graduated from Michigan State University with a Master of Nursing degree and completed his clinical rotation at Family Health Care’s McBain clinic. Garrett earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baker College of Cadillac. He brings nearly ten years of clinical nursing experience to Family Health Care.
“Having been born and raised in the Cadillac area, I’m excited to be able to give back to the community that I’ve spent my entire life in,” Garrett said. “I believe in providing quality, holistic care to my patients.”
Travis Douglas, site facility manager at Family Health Care’s Cadillac clinic, said adding two medical providers will help increase access to health care services in Wexford County.
“Finding a primary care provider can be difficult, especially in rural communities in Northern Michigan. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we’re committed to ensuring everyone has access to affordable, comprehensive healthcare services. Kristina and Jeremy help Family Health Care address the shortage of medical providers that has been seen locally and throughout the country.”
